The event raises funds to assist Rugeley Open Spaces Association a Rugeley based charity which seeks to preserve open spaces for recreation in the Rugeley area and owns and maintains St Augustine’s Field.
ROSA Secretary Martin de Ridder added “This event has gone from strength to strength and we hope this bank holiday will be our most successful yet. The run is very scenic although the very will be the last thing on the runners minds when they are negotiating the tricky hills in the middle of the course.”
This year will see a “goodie bag” for each entrance supplied by the local Tesco store as well as medals supplied by the Yorkshire Man Public House.
“I am extremely grateful to the support offered by both the Yorkshireman and Tesco which will allow us to give something back to our entrants. We are also grateful to Rugeley Leisure Centre for once again offering to host the event. I hope the weather is nice and we get a great turn out on the day.”
