On the afternoon of Monday 25th April 2016 Green Party Leader Natalie Bennett visited Hednesford to understand the progress being made over the last 18 months since the local party was established. The visit included two events in the community, both of which were well received.
First stop was at Kingsmead School where Natalie answered a range of questions from sixth form and year 11 students covering topics from nuclear weapons to funding of free university places and animal rights to energy policy.
Following this Natalie met town residents and representatives of town voluntary organisations including Friends of Hednesford Town and Heart of Hednesford Restoration Project. This took place at Bella’s Café and discussions around town groups working together, community spirit and town businesses.
This successful visit was followed up with local and national press coverage
