Rugeley Rugby Club brought their 1sts and 2nds over to the Cannock ground for  preseason games. Some of these battles in the past have been tasty to say the least but both games this time proved to be well behaved if not a little one sided. Cannock 1sts winning 43-12 and the 2nds romping home 48-29.  And it would be amiss of me not to mention my powerful solo try which left two Rugeley players sprawled on the ground.

Cannock Rugby clubs going through a ‘velvet period’ – recently promoted to the highest league they have ever reached, Owen Cup winners, a thriving junior section and a £250k facelift on club house and changing rooms that has given them some of the best facilities in the county. Spectators can enjoy a warm welcome, and the club house is available for private functions.
