Pitmen supporter and HTFCSA committee member Paul Woodhead plays a big part in promoting the club throughout the community. Interested in stargazing

We have all looked up to the night skies with awe and wonder well here is an opportunity to get involved with an enthusiastic group of astronomers from all walks of life sharing an interest in all aspects of astronomy.

The North Staffordshire Astronomical Society is now in its 41st Year, with the membership now standing at around 40.

The Aims of the Society are to popularise astronomy at an amateur level and disseminate astronomical information. They provide advice and guidance in all things astronomical, as well as advice and guidance in the choice and suitability of optical equipment for observational purposes and a forum to enable people of like interests to meet on a regular basis.

The society is entirely non-profit making and meetings commence at 7pm monthly from on the first Tuesday of the month at 21st Hartshill Scout Group HQ, Mount Pleasant, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire. ST5 1DP

New members of any ability are always welcome.

NSAS has organised a Practical Workshop on Wednesday 24th February 2016 Includes imaging, telescope and instrument set-up and general discussion. The meeting will be held at Halmerend Hall Farm, Shraley Brook Road, Halmerend, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, ST7 8AW.
